This commercial grade water filtration system uses the same high-pressure tank in our whole house filtration systems, yet small enough to fit in your kitchen, bath or bar cabinet, connecting directly to your cold water supply line, delivering pure, clean, great tasting water at your fingertips for pennies a gallon.
The filter is available in multiple configurations to reduce volatile organic compounds like chlorine, chloramines (a deadly combination of chlorine and ammonia commonly used by water treatment facilities to kill bacteria that may be present in municipal water,) chloroform, benzene, pesticides, prescription drugs, heavy metals Lead and Mercury, Fluoride, Arsenic, tastes, odors and hundreds of other potential contaminants and harmful chemicals that may be found in our drinking water.
How Does It Work?
Option 1: Chemical and Heavy Metal Reduction - with dedicated faucet
This configuration uses three different media types to reduce chemicals commonly found in municipal water like chlorine, chloramine, pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceutical drugs, and heavy metals such as Lead and Mercury.
Stage 1 Centaur - a revolutionary patented media that is designed to reduce chloramines and that rotten egg smell (hydrogen sulfide) through catalytic reaction.
Stage 2 ATC - a patented ceramic impregnated coconut shell media that reduces heavy metals, such as Lead and Mercury, through cation exchange.
Stage 3 High Grade Activated Coconut Shell Carbon - a carbon based media for reducing small molecular weight chemical contaminants. This unique media has an enhanced micro-pore structure that adsorbs twice the amount of contaminants as other carbons.
With the high-pressure tank, the Chemical and Heavy Metal Reduction filter can be installed directly connected to your cold water line, or if desired may be connected to a dedicated drinking water faucet.
Capacity, Tank Size and Flow Rate:
- 20,000 gallons - 8" diameter x 20" high, 2.5 gpm direct connect
- 20,000 gallons - 8" diameter x 20" high, 0.75 gpm with dedicated faucet
Option 2: Chemical and Heavy Metal Reduction + Fluoride & Arsenic Combination Reduction - with dedicated faucet
This option combines all of the media types described above into the same tank. This combination can only be connected to a dedicated drinking water faucet, slowing the water flow to improve the contact time with the media beds to improve filtration performance.
Capacity, Tank Size and Flow Rate:
- 14,000 gallons - 8" diameter x 20" high, 0.75 gpm with dedicated faucet
Installation
Installation is simple if you are comfortable crawling under your sink and disconnecting the cold water supply line. If not, we advise hiring a handyman or plumber to install the filtration system.
Optional Dedicated Faucet: The Watts Series 703 designer faucet is an upgrade to basic drinking faucets standard with most water filtration systems. The ceramic disk element and lever style handle are smooth operating, and high reach swivel neck allows for easy filling of pots, glasses and water bottles. Requires a 1/2 in. mounting hole. Mounting hardware included. Available in Chrome finish.
Lifespan:
Typical life is 3-5 years for a family of 4. Actual life will depend upon how consistently you use the filtration system for drinking, cooking, making tea and coffee, and watering houseplants. Replace when water flow rate reduces or noticeable off-taste or smell occurs.
